Charlotte Andrews Stephens had cousins in Montclair, New Jersey. That family was the Hayes Joseph and Bertha Ball Burnett family. The family included my mother, Dorothy Burnett Porter Wesley (1905–1995), African-American archivist, bibliophile, curator, librarian, and curator emeritus of the Moorland-Spingarn Research Center, Howard University, Washington DC.
