In 1903-1904 a wealthy Black man named Wiley Jones arrived in Muskogee Oklahoma, buying real estate.  Perhaps the same man or perhaps not....John Wiley Jones bought a large parcel of land in McIntosh County where I reside.  He came from Arkansas about the same time as Wiley Jones's death; his origins are murky but he was rich, smart, and loved by Black and White residents. He is buried in Nancy Sheppard Cemetery, Pine Hollow Settlement, about 5 miles northwest of Warner, Oklahoma.
Is it possible that Wiley Jones could have fathered a son and given him money to begin his adult life?
