There are two purposes for Comments in the Encyclopedia of Arkansas History & Culture. Comments can either add information to aid in the understanding of the entry or add information that provides an alternate interpretation of the historical record.

I lived in Lake Dick as a child and was in the kindergarten program there. My brother, Larry Russell Murphy, was born there 1940 or 1941. There is a picture of my father, Henry Russell Murphy, among Russell Lee's photos of him milking a cow and a picture of me in the kindergarten class. There is also a picture of me at about two and a half sitting in a baby bed. My parents both died in 1945.
